WELCOME TO A WHOLE NEW WAY TO THINK ABOUT BUILDING A HOME!

Steel frame homes are not some type of industrial building or airplane hangar, built with heavy “red iron” hot-rolled beams. Steel frame homes look no different than any other house once they’re completed. STEEL FRAMED HOMES are made of light gauge galvanized cold-rolled steel which has been bent into channels. Each channel, called a ‘C Channel’, is a substitute for a wood member, whether it is a stud, joist, rafter or truss. These channels are fastened to “track”, which is used as sills and blocking.

There is no question that the uniformity, quality, strength and lifespan of steel C channel are far superior to wood.

After building conventional residential with wood frame or block for many years, I began to research  green alternatives for framing. One day while looking through a light-gauge steel catalog, a light bulb went on! I found my Alternative Residential Component – STEEL. Strength, stability, non-combustibility, impervious to termites and mold plus environmental benefits of using recycled materials make steel the perfect choice for semi tropical climates. Actually, perfect for any area where extreme weather takes its toll. These benefits, plus the fact that you can create incredibly beautiful structures cost-effectively with steel frame, and you know you have a winner!

Since that discovery, I have focused totally on building with steel. My many satisfied clients will cheerfully agree that this is definitely the way to go.”
